David Hepworth

David Hepworth (born 27 July 1950) is a music journalist, writer and publishing industry analyst who has launched several successful British magazines. He was instrumental in the foundation of a number of highly popular magazines in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, and a driving force behind "Smash Hits" in its 1980s heyday. He co-presented the BBC broadcast of Live Aid on 13 July 1985, goading Bob Geldof into asking viewers to send them their ''fucking money''.〔Dylan, Jones. "The Eighties: One Day, One Decade".
